2018 Mazda 3 4-Door

The Mazda3 is the vehicle to choose if you’re looking for something different than your standard vanilla sedan. The 2018 Mazda3 is the sedan with swagger–and it’s got a few more tricks up its sleeve for this model year.

Why Buy the Mazda 3 Sedan?

The Mazda 3 is a sedan that looks just a little bit different. The smooth lines, big front grill, and almost invisible exhaust pipe give it a luxury look. The SKYACTIV equipped engine gives you great mileage without losing the power you’re looking for. The infotainment system, active driving display, steering wheel controls, along with the perforated seats, and Commander control, show that the Mazda 3 is designed to make your driving experience as easy as possible.

What’s new for the 2018 Mazda 3 sedan? First things first–safety. Mazda has included the low-speed front collision system with emergency braking across the range of Mazda 3s, making it standard even on the base Sport trim. Since this was a key to earning the 2017 Mazda3 some of the top Insurance Institute safety honors, this is very good news. You’ll also see a larger 2.5L engine on the mid-range Touring model.

Is the Mazda 3 a Good Car?

Deciding whether or not a car is a good one is a very personal choice, but we love the extras that Mazda includes to make driving more efficient and safe. The Mazda 3’s engine is equipped with Mazda’s SKYACTIV Technology. Most combustion engines only capture a small percentage of the possible energy. SKYACTIV technology captures more power per each drop of fuel giving you better mileage and more performance. The Mazda 3 can give you up to 38 mpg average on the highway, and 184 Horsepower.

Mazda is also committed to driver safety. Front collision systems with emergency braking are now standard across the trim levels, and Mazda wants to ensure that drivers are being smart and safe as well. To that end, the MazdaConnect Infotainment center lets you make hands-free calls, stream audio, send text messages by voice command, and more. This allows drivers to stay connected without sacrificing safety on the road.

Is the Mazda 3 Automatic or Manual?

With the Mazda 3, you have the choice between either automatic or standard transmission. It depends on what you’re looking for. The manual transmission offers a more active driving experience. The automatic transmission, on the other hand, makes for a smooth and easy ride without having to work a clutch. Either way, the Mazda 3 is a pleasure to drive.

Does the Mazda 3 Have Apple Carplay?

The Mazda 3 does not have Apple Car Play. It does, however, have the MazdaConnect infotainment system. MazdaConnect lets you connect your phone to your car via Bluetooth and allows you to stream playlists, make hands-free texts and calls, and more. It has a built-in navigation system and access to Pandora, Aha, and Stitcher internet radio. It also has an automatic emergency notification which Apple Car Play lacks.

However, for drivers who want Android Auto or Apple Carplay, Mazda has promised that the update is coming. For those who have already purchased their Mazda 3, the automaker has suggested that the update will be retroactive to existing 2018 models.
